SARSCENE 2003, Kingston Ontario October 15-18 Opening Ceremonies

The SARSCENE Opening Ceremonies held at Portsmouth Olympic Harbour on Thursday October 16 were well attended. To kick off the day, the more than 500 delegates who attended were treated to a breakfast sponsored by EMS Technologies.

We were pleased to have Constable Lyndon Slewidge and the O.P.P. Colour Guard present to add flair to the ceremonies.

The following people spoke at the Opening Ceremonies:

Jean Murray, Executive Director, National Search and Rescue Secretariat
Chief Superintendent Chris Lewis, Ontario Provincial Police
Deputy Mayor of Kingston, George Beavis
SAR Region Commander, Major-General M.J. Dumais
Julian Goodyear, Regional Director CCG Central and Arctic Region
Chief of Police, City of Kingston, Bill Closs

Note: Presentations are provided by the presenter and may not be bilingual.
