National search and rescue conference set for Charlottetown, PEI, October 5-8, 2005

Search and rescue experts from across Canada and around the world will converge in Prince Edward Island for SARSCENE 2005, Canada's largest search and rescue event.

Organized by the National Search and Rescue Secretariat (NSS), and co-hosted by the Emergency Measures Organization of PEI, SARSCENE 2005 will attract more than 600 delegates from Canada, the US and beyond. The four-day event includes training courses, meetings, games, demonstrations and exhibits and about 70 presentations. The event closes with the presentation of the 2005 Outstanding Search and Rescue Achievement Award and Certificates of Merit.

SARSCENE 2005 is an opportunity to interview front line search and rescue professionals about:
